September 5th 2011 would have been Freddie’s 65th birthday and to mark the occasion, family & friends can join us on Sunday the 4th of September to experience a spectacular tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen! Joseph Clark is widely known for his incredible interpretations of Queen’s music. Those who have never seen this enigmatic artist in action will get the chance to rock with Joseph in The Queen Experience when he takes you on a rollercoaster ride with his powerful renditions of some of the greatest rock songs and breathtaking ballads ever written. The show will feature the amazing Joseph Clark and his all-star band, as well as the soprano, Sibongile Mngoma! This is the very same show that is destined to rock The Netherlands on the 18th of November in front of 34,000 people at the Gelredome Soccer Stadium!

Park Acoustics hosts family friendly, outdoor events at The Voortrekker Monument, suitable for all ages. Facilities include a bar, food stalls, toilets, picnic facilities, hiking- and mountain biking trails, secure parking and an amazing view of Pretoria! Small umbrellas, picnic baskets and gas/small braais are welcome. Pets, weapons, illegal substances and bad vibes will not be tolerated.Gates open at 11h00 with pre-shows Josie Field and Bittereinder with Tumi Molekane start at 12h30.The main show starts at 15h00. Every ticket sold includes a R10 donation to Nkosi’s Haven. Tickets are R80 at Ticketbreak www.ticketbreak.co.za or R100 at the gate. Entrance to the Voortrekker Monument’s main gate is R5 per vehicle and ensures safe parking.

As one of the definitive rock icons of our age, the late great Freddie Mercury’s extraordinary talents and influence are still felt in the entertainment world to this day, an unreal 20 years after his sad and untimely death. September 5th 2011 would have been Freddie’s 65th birthday and to mark the occasion, family, friends, guests and celebrities from the world over will come together in the worldwide campaign ‘Freddie For A Day’ to raise funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the charity established in Freddie’s name by fellow band members to fight HIV AIDS worldwide.In South Africa, all funds raised will be donated to Nkosi’s Haven.

This year is the 40th anniversary of Queen’s extraordinary career as a band, and the surviving members Brian May, Rodger Taylor and John Deacon have celebrated by re-mastering their life’s work and adding previously unreleased content. Theatrical, imaginative, diverse, melodic and unpredictable, Queen had a sound and a look all of their own. Re-live one of the most thrilling, glamorous and downright rock n roll bands of all time!The re-mastered studio albums, Greatest Hits and new Deep Cuts compilations as well as plenty of other prizes will be on offer for fans dressed up as Freddie Mercury. All you need to decide is whether you are brave enough for a full body leotard, head-to-toe biker leathers or simply to stick with aviator sunglasses and of course a moustache!
